Mechatronics prototyping
Make things move and sense: you wire motors, sensors and a microcontroller into a working prototype.
One day in which you learn to design parts that are cheaper, faster and more reliable to make, using real examples from the studio.
Bring a part or a drawing you are working on. Together we review real parts, ours and yours, and redesign them for laser cutting, sheet metal, 3D printing and simple moulding.
Before you come: Basic CAD experience is helpful but not required.
Morning: how parts are actually made, with samples.
Afternoon: redesign exercises in small groups, then review.
10:00 Start
13:00 Lunch (provided)
17:00 Finish
A redesigned part, and a checklist you can use on your own projects from the next day.
Bring: A part, drawing or CAD file you would like to improve (optional).
We hold your seat for 48 hours and confirm it as soon as your payment arrives. If plans change, you get a full refund or a free move up to 7 days before the start, and a 50% refund from 3 to 7 days before. After that, you are welcome to send someone in your place.

Two hands-on days in which you take a simple object from a problem all the way to a working prototype.
